There are 9 features of drip irrigation under the mulch Compared with traditional surface irrigation.
1.Water saving:

Drip irrigation is a controllable local irrigation. The drip irrigation system also uses pipelines to deliver water, which ensures uniform water delivery and reduces leakage  and evaporation losses. Implementing film-covering cultivation inhibits evaporation  between trees. Therefore, under-mulch drip irrigation technology is the most water-saving  technology for field irrigation. During the crop growth period, it saves 40% to 60% of water  compared to ground irrigation.

2.Fertilizer saving:

Fertilizer can be drip-irrigated to the crop root system with water in a timely and appropriate amount, and is easily absorbed by the crop root system, and the fertilizer has no  volatilization or leaching loss, increasing the fertilizer utilization rate by more than 30%.

3.Pesticide saving:

Water is transported in closed pipelines to avoid the spread of water diseases and insect pests. In addition, there is no stagnant water on the surface and low humidity on the field ground, which is not conducive to the breeding of bacteria and insect pests.  Therefore, the dosage of herbicides and pesticides is significantly reduced, and 10% to 20%  of pesticides can be saved.

4.Land saving:

Since all fields use pipeline water transmission, there are no agricultural canals, central canals, rough canals and ridges required for conventional irrigation on the ground, which can save 5% to 7% of land.
